Lead: The first player betting into a pot.

Let Slide: To call another player that you think is bluffing.

Lid: The top card of a deck.

Little Blind: The first and smaller blind bet.

List: The order roster of players waiting to play.

Live Game: A game with a lot of action.

Live One: A weak player.

Long Odds: A low probability of something happening.

Loose Cannon: A player who’s ‘gambling’ proper; putting a lot of money in the pot and is liable to lose at any time.

Low: The lowest card.

Luck: An illusion of winning beyond statistical reality.
